Sony announce 2010 UK HDTV line-up

Sony have finally released some details of their UK bound TVs for 2010.

As reported from CES in January, the full line-up will consist of a high end line up of three series of TVs, the LX, HX and NX which are all 3D ready. (The LX series are 3D capable out of the box and supplied with shutter glasses, the HX and NX are 3D ready and need to have the receiver and glasses bought separately). The higher end sets will also feature widgets and wifi capability to allow surfing of sites like facebook, and streaming of content.

Here are the models shown at CES 2010

The majority of the company’s high end sets will have LED backlighting allowing for slimmer ‘Monolithic Design’ styles. This year there were also be a series of lower priced sets dubbed the Essential Range.

Signature Range.

LX903

BRAVIA KDL-LX903 – 40 and 60in models announced priced at £2000 and £3500 respectively and available in June 2010. These sets are full HD 3D with built in WiFi, motionflow 200Hz Pro and uses edge LED backlight. The TV also sports an Opticontrast panel, intelligent presence sensor II and ambient sensor.

HX903

BRAVIA KDL-HX903 – 40 and 46in models available in June 2010. Intelligent full LED backlighting with local dimming and motionflow 200Hz Pro. Opticontrast panel and full HD 3D ready (Option to purchase transmitter and Glasses). Prices to be confirmed.

BRAVIA KDL-HX803 – 40 and 46in models available in June 2010 with edge LED backlight and motionflow 200Hz. 40in reported to be approximately £1400 and 46in to be confirmed.

Presence Range.

NX903

BRAVIA KDL-NX803 – 40 and 46in models available in March/April 2010. Monolithic design with built-in WiFi, motionflow 200Hz with Edge LED backlight. Optional stand designs with 6 degree positioning. Pricing TBC

BRAVIA KDL-NX703 – 40 and 46in models available in March/April 2010.

Monolithic design with WiFi, motionflow 100Hz and edge LED backlight. Pricing TBC

Essential Range.

BRAVIA KDL-EX703 – 32in, 40in, 46in, 52in, 60in. From £900 -£2000. Edge lit LED backlighting.

BRAVIA KDL-EX603 – No info at present time.

BRAVIA KDL-EX503 – No Info at present time.

BRAVIA KDL-EX403 – No Info at present time.
BRAVIA KDL-EX43B – No Info at present time.
